Relax with peppermint
Written by : Simon-Robert: Thomson.
Yesterday at my local coffee shop, I discovered how delicious peppermint tea is!

It’s totally silky, a delicious, soothing, and refreshing way to boost your overall health in a number of ways as well because it can treat headaches, inflamed sinus, and stomach problems.

It also helps to improve digestion and reduce pain and inflammation. Peppermint tea relaxes the body and mind, so is great for sleep - even cures bad breath - aids in weight loss, and boosts the immune system.

Peppermint is actually a cross between water mint and spearmint. It is native to Europe and is used in breath mints, candies, chocolates, syrups, medicines, and as an essential oil for aromatherapy. Its impact on the digestive system is considerable, and the base element of menthol in this tea is perhaps the most valuable part of its organic structure.

All I know is that it really helps to replace and substitute that coffee out of my system and still leave the same feel great feeling!

The menthol flavor of this tea is very appealing to many people, making this one of the most popular tea varieties in the world.

Peppermint essential oil is also a popular form of medicinal treatment, particularly for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Peppermint Tea Benefits

I have discovered this is an EXCELLENT way to beat caffeine addiction, or just replace and substitute that coffee, espresso, for something much more beneficial. Peppermint tea is soothing, and some of the beneficial aspects of peppermint tea are below.

Relieves Headaches

Peppermint is an effective remedy against headaches caused by stress or a poor diet. In addition, the aroma of peppermint oil helps treat headaches. The way it does this is by elevating the constricted blood vessels in the brain, promoting relaxation and treating headaches.

Treats the Sinus

Peppermint can relax the muscles of the throat and chest, which helps eliminate the symptoms of cold and flu. It can relieve the irritating sensation you have when you want to cough, soothe the respiratory tract and treat the sinus.

Reduces Mental Stress

Menthol is a natural sedative which helps you get instant relief from mental stress. Caffeine-free peppermint tea can reduce blood pressure & body temperature, it helps you unwind and relax and allows stress to melt away. This is why peppermint oil is also so popular for aromatherapy.

Promotes Sleep

Peppermint is caffeine-free, so it can be drunk before bed to help with insomnia. Because it also acts as a muscle relaxant, it promotes sound sleep.

Can Help The Stomach

Peppermint oil and peppermint tea can ease a variety of digestive and stomach ailments including irritable bowel syndrome. Peppermint tea can also reduce inflammation in the stomach, reduce the pain of bloating, cramps & indigestion. This tea also stimulates bile flow to increase the rate and efficiency of digestion and promote healthy bowel movements. This is one of the main reasons we include peppermint in our Secret 1 cleanse and we highly recommend this choice for tastes and benefits.

Boosts Immunity

Peppermint is a natural antioxidant, which help strengthen the immune system, and has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties to protect against pathogens and bacteria, which are the root cause of illnesses like fever and cough. Not only can drinking this tea helps treat the symptoms of an illness but also prevent your body from getting sick. There are also trace elements of vitamin B, potassium, antioxidants, and calcium, which help your body uptake nutrients to fight off illnesses and perform necessary functions to keep it working in a healthy way.

Fights Bad Breath

The strong, menthol flavor of organic peppermint tea leaves help improve your breath. The antibacterial element kills the germs that can lead to halitosis, while menthol in the tea overwhelms any smells and leave your breath being as fresh as a daisy in spring! Woot!

Reduces Fever

With menthol as a main component, drinking the tea can cause sweating whilst the menthol cools down your body internally. This can help to break a fever and reduce any inflammation and discomfort.

Prevents Nausea & Vomiting

Peppermint tea is an antispasmodic, which means it can reduce the chances of vomiting and nausea, stomachache and queasiness, even in the case of motion sickness on a boat or a plane.

Reduces Menstrual Cramps

Peppermint tea can help in relieving the constricted muscles in the uterus and alleviate menstrual cramps for women going through PMS.

Protects Heart Health

Peppermint extract can also lower the bad (LDL) cholesterol levels, thereby assisting with heart health.

You can easily find this tea at coffee shops, herbal tea stores, supermarkets and you can also buy them online. So grab this delicious silky treat, sip, and relax...
